Woke up this morning to find this in my in box… “Glancee is joining Facebook”!
With the following message from the Glancee team:
We started Glancee in 2010 with the goal of bringing together the best of your physical and digital worlds. We wanted to make it easy to discover the hidden connections around you, and to meet interesting people. Since then Glancee has connected thousands of people, empowering serendipity and pioneering social discovery.
We are therefore very excited to announce that Facebook has acquired Glancee and that we have joined the team in Menlo Park to build great products for over 900 million Facebook users. Glancee will not work anymore, but you can download all your messages here. We’ve had such a blast connecting people through Glancee, and we truly thank you for being a part of the Glancee community.
The Glancee Team
Well there is no doubt now that Facebook has set its sights on mobile domination and as a passive location app Glancee certainly fits the bill.
The question now is… Who will Facebook buy next and what will it be able to do after it goes public with a war chest bulging with Billions?
Do you think Glancee will improve Facebook or give us your predications who Facebook will buy next.
